Bob Yapp, Guest Instructor

Des Moines native Bob Yapp has been in preservation since his high school days at Roosevelt High School when he worked to restore houses in Sherman Hill. In 2008, he founded the (Link https://bobyapp.com/) Belvedere School for Hands On Preservation in Hannibal, Missouri, where he and his instructors teach historic preservation skills. While attending workshops with Bob starting in 2020, Tanya began to formulate a plan for a similar school in Des Moines, which she opened in 2022 with Bob as a key advisor. Coming in October, 2023, Bob will be teaching an in-person class in Des Moines at PCU. Stay tuned for more information coming soon!
